I am currently working on Fatih Akin’s films and would like to know how, in particular, his films Gegen die Wand/Head On, Kurz und schmerzlos/Short Sharp Shock and Im Juli/In July were received in Turkey. I am looking for suggestions where I can find out about audience figures. Since I do not speak Turkish myself, I’d also be grateful to hear how critics responded to these films.
