Seven international filmmakers and media practioners at the conference on 13 January 2007

We are pleased to announce that the programme for the conference The Industrial Context of Migrant and Diasporic Cinema in Europe has been finalised. It is advisable to register for this conference as soon as possible. We are looking forward to welcoming an excellent panel of speakers, including the filmmakers John Akomfrah, Abdelkrim Bahloul; diversity consultant and producer Parminder Vir, OBE; founder of the script-funding initiative BABYLON Gareth Jones;  film producer Ralph Schwingel from Wüste Film; distributor Eve Gabereau from Soda Pictures;  and Thierry Lenouvel from the Amiens Film Festival. 

The conference will be preceded by a film screenings of Abdelkrim Bahloul's most recent feature The Assassinated Sun and his earlier feature The Night of Destiny at the French Institute's Ciné Lumière on Friday, 12 January.
