Well-received romantic comedy by well-known Spanish director with a popular male and female cast. Following the adventures of two Spanish males in Havana (one searching for his mother, the other for a sexy bride), the film offers a light-hearted criticism of Spanish sexual tourism in Cuba, while drawing most of its comic content from the exposure of cultural and gender differences between the resourceful if cheeky Cuban women and the less ingenious Spanish men.

Keywords: Spaniards in Cuba; sexual tourism; neocolonialism; mother-son relationship; romance.
